The Communications& Public Relations Registry on Friday held a farewell dinner in honour of Lady Justice Sarah Langa Siu, celebrating her remarkable tenure as the Head of Communications function.
Lady Justice Langa expressed deep gratitude to God for guiding her throughout her four and a half years as Chief Registrar. She acknowledged the unwavering support of her team, commending their dedication, excellence, and commitment to upholding the Judiciary's values. She encouraged them to maintain high standards, embrace new opportunities, and continue strengthening the Judiciary's public image.
Reflecting on her vision for the Communications and PR Registry, Justice Langa emphasized the importance of enhancing the positive image of the Judiciary and promoting innovation. She reminded the team that true success is measured by the legacy one leaves behind, urging them to build on the foundation already set and aim even higher. Confident in their ability to carry forward the transformation, she expressed pride in the progress made under her leadership.
Justice Langa also recognized the value of change, encouraging the team to remain open to new ideas. She extended special appreciation to the Public Relations Officer for managing a demanding role with efficiency and professionalism. She lauded the team’s commitment, describing them as a strong and capable unit that has successfully positioned the Judiciary’s communications as a vital government function.
HW Patricia Amoko, the Private Legal Secretary to the Chief Registrar thanked the team for organizing the farewell gathering and commended their teamwork and enthusiasm. She thanked Justice Langa for her exceptional leadership, warmth, and mentorship, emphasizing the importance of using authority wisely. Encouraging her to embrace the next chapter with confidence.
Ms. Sheila Wamboga, the Principal Communications Officer, shared heartfelt gratitude to Justice Langa's mentorship and support. She commended her for being a patient and understanding leader who was always willing to listen. She also acknowledged her role in fostering the team’s spiritual well-being through Christian Judiciary Retreats and fondly remarked on her dynamic role as a master of ceremonies, saying, "We are going to miss you on the microphone. You have been the very best."
She further expressed appreciation for HW Amoko's continued support and dedication to the team, recognizing her invaluable contribution to the Communications and PR Registry.
Throughout the evening, different members of the Communications Registry hailed Justice Langa for her kindness, encouragement, and ability to recognize and appreciate individual contributions. Her management approach, which they noted, had a lasting impact, ensuring stability and continuity within the Registry.
The dinner doubled as a celebration for Ms. Ruth Ashaba's promotion to Senior Communications Officer. As a token of appreciation, the team presented gifts to Justice Langa and a special gift to Ms. Ashaba in recognition of her new role.
